Luminaries Glowing Fundrasier
Join us for a glowing fundraiser and help us luminate Stonegate! Each $15 luminary pack includes: 12 brown paper bags, sand for a sturdy base, and tea lights for a warm glow. Luminary packs will available for pick up during the Santa Sleigh Ride on December 2nd between 10a-12p at the South Pool. You can pre-order your luminaries now by Venmoing the team account. Together we will light our luminaries on the Winter Solstice, December 21st!
To place your order, simply Venmo @SGStingrays with the quantity and luminaries in the comments. It is suggested that luminaries be placed 12-18 inches apart lining your driveway and sidewalk. We appreciate your support in making this fundraiser a success.
Calling All Aspiring Coaches! Join the Stonegate Stingrays Team for an Exciting Summer 2024 Season!
As we gear up for another thrilling summer swim season in 2024, we are excited to announce that we are actively looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our coaching team. Whether you have coaching experience or this is your first venture into coaching, we welcome your passion for swimming and dedication to mentor our young swimmers.
Head Coach Position: Head Coach interviews will take place in person over the winter break. If you are interested in taking on a leadership role and shaping the future of our team, please submit your resume to [email protected] by December 18th, 2023.
Age Group Coaches and Jr. Coaches: For those interested in age group coaching and junior coaching positions, interviews will be conducted in March 2024. Please submit your resume to [email protected] by January 31st, 2024.
We understand that many of our potential coaches may be embarking on their first coaching role, and we view this as an opportunity to mentor and guide them. Our goal is not only to build a successful swim team but also to provide valuable experience in the process of interviewing and preparing for professional roles.
Teaching and Mentoring Experience: To facilitate this learning experience, our parent representatives will be actively involved in coaching the candidates, providing interviewing tips, and creating a supportive environment for growth. We believe in making this process a teachable moment for the young members of our community and fostering a culture of learning and development.
If you have a passion for swimming, a commitment to mentorship, and a desire to contribute to the success of the Stonegate Stingrays, we encourage you to submit your resume. Let's make the 2024 summer season unforgettable for our swimmers!
We look forward to welcoming new faces to our coaching team and building a stronger community together.
Thank you!
We have many people to thank for our incredible season this year:
First and foremost, we would like to thank our board: Jeremy Cooper, Joy Fraser, Sam Sherman and Justin Carter. Thank you for keeping us all in line, helping to solve the behind the scenes puzzles we so often run into.
We also want to thank our Committee heads:
Sara Crain is our heating coordinator, and in our opinion, the hardest job of them all. But Sara takes it on with such calmness- and even maybe a little enjoyment? We are beyond grateful for Sara’s ability to heat over 250 kids in 90 different events every Saturday morning, in the wind, rain, mud and heat. Stonegate Clerk of Course needs to go to the top of your resume!
Serenity Hayes is our meet manager putting together all our lineups and heat sheets. She ran our scratch meetings and kept all things organized. Serenity even ran home in the middle of our Finals meet to grab the printer in order to keep the meet moving. She has an amazing talent in anticipating any problems and solving them before any of us even know about them.
Hilary Thie is our head timer, scorer and helper of all things! We threw Hilary in to help with all things Swimmingly last year and decided very quickly that all things run better with Hilary around. She happily takes on any role and succeeds at all tasks given. Thank you, Hilary, for jumping in wherever we ask and making all things run smoothly!
Mamie Wood is our head Ref. She has stepped up to an incredibly important role and has seamlessly guided our team through running our meets with integrity and accountability. Mamie’s tag line is “I’m here to help” and she always does!
Joy Fraser is our starter- but she is so much more. Joy came in this year and did wonders for our team. Joy is able to see the big picture in all things swimming and has the ability to create a system for anything. Joy is not only our Starter, she is also our board secretary, and this year has joined the RMSL board in making sure things run smoothly from the top down. We are so grateful for Joy’s unwavering dedication to our team.
Will Salzbrenner, our meet set up and take down coordinator- which we all know is no small job. This is the first year we have had this committee head and we are all so grateful. Thank you, Will, for protecting all of our aging backs.
Jill and Adam Foy have taken on the massive role of running concessions. From creating detailed spreadsheets, selling leftover burritos at our canceled meet, cleaning out coolers, scrubbing down grills and regulating how many ring pops 300 kids can really consume Jill and Adam have taken it all with stride and have been a huge asset to our team this year. We are so thankful for their willingness to help and earn our team some concessions cash!
Joe Bush is our highly talented DJ/announcer that keeps us educated on all things trivia, and up to date with never to be repeated killer playlists. We are constantly asking Joe to help us on random tech/sound/music/entertainment things and we are certain his job has just been increasing over the years. Today the DJ booth, tomorrow the world!
Holley McManus is technically our Social Committee Head, however Holley also takes on the role of team mom, and fixer of all things that have to get done, or need to be fixed ten minutes before showtime. Holley is literally the glue that holds all of us together. Holley can hear a problem and after a four second pause will have a phenomenal solution every single time. Quiet yet mighty, we would be a disaster without Holley’s continued support.
